Awareness

This breast cancer awareness thing is ridiculous. I mean, it’s like spreading the word that dogs have fleas. As long as women have boobs, some will have breast cancer, as long as men have prostates, some will get prostate cancer. You don’t see any shirts and fancy bracelets about lung cancer, stomach cancer, or dangling a prostate from a necklace, how about hanging a lung or a picture of a black lung on a bracelet because someone in the family died from lung cancer because of all the inconsiderate people out there that could care less about how their second hand smoke KILLS others????? What about the millions who have to tote around an oxygen tank because when they were young they fell in the trap that ‘smoking is cool’, or ‘smoking is sexy’? No, put a boob on something and the world flocks to it. Put a boob on something, or some stupid saying about a boob, and voila. Even cake mix commercials use sex to sell. Sheesh. It’s a sick twisted world we live in. They are taking your money and not doing a darn thing about the problem! Instead of buying these stupid gadgets and shirts, send the money to the people looking for an actual cure, cause you can bet all these odds and ends they are selling, not even a quarter of it is going to actually find a cure. Everybody knows already, give it a rest. I hate pink anyway! I mean, come on people, lets cool the awareness thing and start sending the money to someone who is actually DOING something and sincerely LOOKING for a CURE rather than fame! BETTER THAN THAT WHY DON’T YOU SEND THE MONEY TO SOMEONE TO HELP PAY THE BLOATED HOSPITAL BILLS of the VICTIMS of breast cancer, instead of wearing some pink t-shirt saying how everyone ought to KNOW about breast cancer?!??!!! Sorry, but this is  just my opinion. I was about to post this on my facebook page, but then I thought of all the STUPID arguments it would cause, and the drama that FB is, and thought, no, I’ll do it on my OWN blog. 1. No I don’t have breast cancer, nor anyone in my family, BUT WE ARE ALL AWARE THAT IT COULD HAPPEN!. 2. NO I have no agenda, except the one to let everyone know how stupid it is to send and give your money to these ignorant foundations that do NOTHING to help the problem. 3. I’m sick and tired of people taking advantage of others to get fame and fortune for a supposed cause when no funds are sent to the actual ones who need it, the suffering ones, nor to the finding of an actual cure. And 4. enough is enough.  My rant is over.  Don’t get me started on ‘animal lovers and their twisted sick ideas about awareness. Thank you, come again.
